Navien recommends regular annual maintenance to make sure your tankless water heater is performing at the highest level. Navien units are certified by CSA, which is a third-party testing agency, to meet all industry standards for safe operation. Built in controls monitor water temperatures, exhaust gas temperature, and the burner to verify correct operation, and will disable the unit in the event of any unsafe condition.
Navien is the only manufacturer to add a Vent Installation Detector, which verifies proper connection of the exhaust pipe to the unit. In addition, Navien units are certified by AHRI for efficiency ratings, NSF and AB1953 (California) for low lead, and SCAQMD for low NOX.
