NDF600-090M2V5C FAQs
How do I know which NDF model is the right size for my home?
The right furnace size depends on the home’s heating load, ductwork, climate, insulation, layout and other jobsite conditions. A qualified HVAC contractor should perform or verify a proper load calculation before selecting an NDF model.
Can this NDF model be converted to propane?
Yes. NDF furnaces are factory-equipped for natural gas and may be converted to LP gas using the optional conversion kit. Conversion must be completed by a trained and qualified installer, service agency or gas supplier.
Does this model require a special thermostat?
The NDF furnace is compatible with most 24V thermostats. A two-stage thermostat can control both heating stages directly, while a single-stage thermostat can be used with automatic staging configured at the furnace control.
What venting options are available for NDF model?
The NDF supports direct vent and non-direct vent installations when installed according to the manual and local codes. Approved concentric venting kits may also be used to combine intake and exhaust through a single wall or roof penetration.
Can this NDF model be installed at high altitude?
Yes. NDF furnaces can be installed at higher elevations when set up according to the installation manual and local code requirements. Natural gas installations don’t need conversion up to 5400ft altitude. Propane installations and elevations above 5400ft may require additional setup by a qualified contractor.
Does this model include self-diagnostics?
Yes. The integrated furnace control includes status LEDs and stores recent fault codes, helping technicians troubleshoot issues more efficiently and improve first-visit service outcomes.
